FREELANCING
YOUR FREELANCING CAREER

Some say its the trend right now. You've heard it all before. Work from home and freelancing are the new normal. In this time of pandemic, quarantine restrictions, hassles of commuting to and from work and health scare, it really is the logical and practical choice. Not to mention, the most profitable and viable option for employment as others may claim.

Is FREELANCING for you?

My freelancing journey is still starting. Embarking on this new and unfamiliar world at this point in my life was challenging enough that it made me second guess myself and the decisions I made. I never thought that the social media and online technology I tried so much to avoid will play a major role, or rather, open doors of opportunities for me.

There are many things to consider when you decide to become a freelancer. But it all boils down to your reason on why you want to pursue this.

What to do if you want to be a FREELANCER?

What's next after you've decided to become a freelancer? May it be by choice or chance, you need to get back to the basics and polish all the skills you have accumulated in and out of school. Being a freelancer is not just knowing how to post on social media as what other's point of view is, but it goes beyond that. It helps to take short term courses on freelancing in order for you to assess and have an overview about this new career. Find your niche where you can showcase and optimize your skills and resources. Remember, skills pay the bills. By finding your niche, you can determine what type of freelancing services you can offer to your clients.

Keep on learning new skills. It always pays to invest in yourself. Never give up and don't hesitate to rise up to this new challenge. Start where you are, use what you have and do what you can. Good luck and welcome to the freelancing world.
